Dalit Sarokar Manch Nepal organized a program at Rupnagar Nandaraj Sangraula Campus, Ward No. 12, Kanchanrup Municipality, Saptari on Sunday and distributed certificates and experience letters to those involved in the survey. The program honored the surveyors who participated in the survey conducted in Shambhunath Municipality in partnership with Purak Asia and Dalit Sarokar Manch, appreciating their contribution.
Sharing his life experience at the program, Campus Chief Gajurel said, “I spent 40 years in Kathmandu. Life was difficult, but I had to struggle because I did not know any skills. Now my goal is to teach skills to at least 10 people before I die.”
Emphasizing the importance of skills, Gajurel added, “Society does not even allow people without skills to live. Those who have skills get the opportunity to succeed in life through some means.” He called on the youth to be creative and self-reliant, saying, “Rather than wasting time in politics, one should engage in creative work.”
Bhola Paswan, Executive Director of Dalit Sarokar Manch, mentioned that the education system and environment did not inspire students to learn skills. He said, “There is still a shortage of skilled people in our society. Now we will provide an opportunity to teach interested people to work as volunteers.”
The participants in the program found Gajurel’s ideas inspiring. They had vowed to become self-reliant by learning skills. Journalists of Ablokit Daily, Kishore Pasman, Anish Sheikh, and undergraduate students participated in the program.
The program coordinator, Manish Koirala, conducted the program.
It is believed that the program has provided inspiration to advance the culture of learning and teaching skills.
